woke up yesterday and finely got out of bed as i have been down with the flu,

so the wife and kids took over the feed on my tanks ( NEVER AGAIN ) lol!

in three days they knackered my filter so much it was reverdeing the waste back into the tank a little at a time
which caused a nitrite strike it wiped the whole tank out

all this due to over feeding and no water changes done by the wife

altoghter i lost

3x lo18 gold nuggs
5x l315 blue spots
1x l008 pekoltia
4x brown bristlenose ( NOT MY BREEDERS THANK GOD )
x1 large black common
x1large alino common

and a shed load of other fish, gouramis, angels, neons, rasboras, tetra, loaches,

i am absolutley gutted

Oh dear, thats not good mate..samething happened to me years back, asked dad to feed the tank while i was away, only gone for 4 days when i returned home my tank was carnage!!! ended up with 3 dead Corydoras a few cardinal tetras, i was totally mortified. Now if i go away i let no-one touch my tanks, i simply let them fast for a few days or use tetramin gel based holiday food.

i agree i would let mine starve for a day before i let anyone feed them..they also get used to the amount you give them...i hope you get it sorted soon mate..
