hey iv been given the opportunity to buy a group of ancistrus sp jari also called blue ancistrus. they are the only ones in the uk and i cant find anything online. does anyone have any info about them? thanks

nope but if they are the only ones in the UK then i would be all over them!

hell, could you pack them up, wirte 'gift' on them and smuggle them into Aus and i can look aftert them Laughing

Continent of Origin: Latin America

Regional Location: Brazil - Rio Jara - border of Pará and Ampará

Average Adult Size: 10cm

Temp: 22 - 25c

pH: 6.5 -7.2

Lighting: prefers low lighting

Diet: Omnivorous - Algae eater

Tank Levels: Low to bottom

Decor: Planted aquarium

Reproduction: Egg Layer

Preferred spawning sites: Caves

Temperament: Non-aggressive

Tank Size: medium

Further Comments:
This is one of the ‘Blue’ Ancistrus sp. however for an even stronger colouration, I would suggest you keep your eyes open for the LDA74 that originates from Venezuela.

iv secured them along with 2 adult pairs of L600's cheers , and breeding groups of L264, and Leporacanthicus heterodon. collecting them in 4 weeks ish, cant wait Smile
