My wife has become infatuated with litoria caerulea or...White's tree frog...Dumpy frog..etc.

Has anyone kept these before? Was hoping maybe you folks in Australia could help me out some.

Hi, I used to keep these - they make great pets and have diffent personalities too!Mine even bred in captivity, and you can have so much enjoyment from making their housing look natural. I say go for it!

I think we're gonna get a couple in the near future. Looking at getting an Exo Terra XL for just the two and putting live plants and a waterfall of some sort in it. Should be fun to build and keep. And like Yvette said they seem to have their own unique personality.

Yvette, are they very vocal at night? Should I look at putting them somewhere else other than our bedroom?

Hi, no they are not particularly vocal unless it's the breeding season and the boys are out to impress the chicks! To breed they need to be put in a fish tank with about 6" water and a power filter to give a heavy current/spray, so I doubt you'd be doing that in a bedroom! lol All I would say is if you overfeed a cricket or two you will heart them until they get eaten, and if a light sleeper, you'll hear the rustlings of the frogs! Enjoy them
