You and me both laykoo. I have lots of males and no females, except the ones with bristles!! Where are they all? Anyone in UK want a male? Or have a female to spare?

does seem to be an issue, I have always found that i have an excess of males. What I would suggest is selling the male to a fish shop or something and buying a few smaller bristlenose. That way they wont fight as the adults wont even bother with the young ones and as they grow odds are you will have a female. Then sell the others back to the shop Smile

this way you end up with a new bloodline and a good trio Smile just takes a bit of time Sad

When I bought the last BN from Maidenhead Aq I was joking with the chap about how these didn't get as big as some of the plecs so I wouldn't have to return him for part exchange and he said we never take fish from private sellers as we have our own suppliers. Good to know in a way but I would have to find somewhere else to take them. I'm not keen on this as I give them a nice environment in a good sized tank and to go to anything less is letting them down. Also I have found that the fish which I get as babies seem more 'relaxed' and friendly as adults whereas imported adults always seem to be skittish.
