heater fried my L144... :(,but good may come eventually

got home today to one fried female L144, she often hid behind the log or under the heater..
and my L144 babies fried by the filter...

appears the heater fried the female, which liked to sleep and eat over the heater..
and the fry always stayed near to her too...

and some new albino's in the same tank I picked up off curby at the weekend for Bren were ok,
but as they were new to the grow out tank they were ok,
seems they were away from the heater as they were evading the betta
which they keep chasing around the tank...lol...

at least bren's survived so he will be pleased.

Me mean while will be about 10 or so pleco's lighter, and the female was a lovely gem too.

I had good intentions with the bathc as I was going to grow them out and pass a couple of females on to Yvette who I think has been advertising for some.

Any ways.. my male survived as he was in a spare tank having a rest from the female, so glad he took time out now..

so to say the least -- accidents and un planned occurences happen...

we try to minimise risk but some times it will happen any way..

I now have a different heater in the tank, and that on test in a bucket...
Must keep my chin up coz one day soon some thing good will happen..

Like you said lee chin up mate, it never rains always pours as ive found out for the last 5 years of my life but things eventually pick up and you will e back on your feet with some great plecs to show aswell....next time your round i will give you some of my bigger browns that are growing out, i no there not L144's but its a start...................

kinda weird coz she hardly knows any one in my village and me non in hers, couldnt believe you living two streets away..lol...

the L144's must have not been for me this time...

though yours young albino's are real beauties , and Bren will like them...
even though they keep jumping the fry saver and chasing my betta around...lol

I put the two females in with my oldest Brown males in the tank in the lounge, and they trying to flare for territory right now,
also feeding well and showing alot...

My tank cabinets started to swell a little so not sure if I have a little leak somewhere or may be the venturi attachment is blowing a little water out some where.......

guess what........ left my tank lights off all weekend and now my nocturnal clown pleco as started coming out more for me..
is nice coz he as changed over the last two months and is lines are showing well now...
