There is a guy selling these on ebay but they are tiny. Too small for bristlenoses.
Does anyone know where I can get bigger ones?
They look really good and are camoflaged well.
I have a slate one at the moment but need to get some more and would like to get ones that blend in well with the tank but that the fishies will love too!

Why don't you try making your own, there are a couple of posts in the D.I.Y. Room that you might like to look at.

PostSubject: like these caves, but depends on the cat fish kept...   Bamboo cave with moss EmptySat Dec 04, 2010 11:22 pm

I prefer to use empty coconut shells as they my peppermints tend to
prefer them, and once in the tank my males never seem to come out of them.

when using this type of cave please be careful with attaching them with cotton as
this can sometimes get hooked on the cat fish barbs / whiskers and this could lead
to a un timely death Sad

think I have seen a DIY of this cave on fishcaves.com
will look tomorrow and see if I can fins the link...

good luck..

The ones I have were attached with cotton but I took it off when I got them home as the plants had rooted well on the wood already.
What would you suggest to use to attach them with???

For attaching plants to wood the best thing is fishing line. It wont degrade and pollute the water. For otther plants like moss then hair nets work well Smile

PostSubject: aquarium plant rooting to caves and pipes....   Bamboo cave with moss EmptySun Dec 05, 2010 10:07 am

Have to agree with Doug on this a low grade fishing line tends to be the best,
then once firmly rooted remove it.

Alternatively if you don't mind a little DIY I sometimes use the smallest drill bit I have and drill
the material with it, so you have a few small holes to poke the root through. This is easier with ceramic pot and bamboo pipes etc
as you can turn them upside down and their own weight holds the plant inside until the root as taken hold, or become rooted in the substrate.

No doubt others may have varying ideas.....

Deano usually as good ideas, as does Moo Smile

Thanks Jim...
I have just looked them up and thats it!!!
Mine seem to grow much faster though with having a new leaf about every week or so. My longfin babies seem to love them but not to damage them...
They might be good to grow over a cave as they seem to be growing so well...
Do you know if amazon swords will grow with bristlenoses???

I was thinking of using some netting to try and attach some plants to a cave...
Im really bad with diy so I think if I tried to drill anything it would fall to pieces lol!!!
Would they get caught in the netting??? Am I better not using netting and just using fishing line???
Im starting to confuse myself me thinks??!!!!

I have Amazon swords in my tanks and the Bn's will graze on them but they don't damage them.

Netting is better when your attaching a moss, but a plant with a rhizome needs to be attached with fishing line.

Found this today at Pets at Home!

Gonna see how they like this! (Not put it in the main tank yet.
Am I better removing the slate one first or leaving both in there???
If it goes down well might get another one lol

I never put anything in my main aquariums until I have ensured they are safe to do so.

I leave in a bucket for a few days or quarantine tank first to make sure they have no snail eggs attached or any thing else nasty...

Looks like a good cave to me though Smile
