Fighting Males... Empty
PostSubject: Fighting Males...   Fighting Males... EmptyWed Jan 26, 2011 7:03 pm

Thought id share this with you all......

My male common albino is the most placid and gentle guy you will see ive had him a while now and is often bullied by female's lol...(pushover)...
But since the sad departure of big freddy he is the only fully mature male in the tank...
Ive been growing some of his young on in his tank for a while now and a young male developed....
He's only about 2 inches but a complete stunner, he's also brown.......
Now here's the bad bit, i had a small cave at the other side of the tank which the little male took a shine to, he kept it and started to behave like he is fully mature,,even inviting the females over for a look,,,,
Ive been really proud of the little guy, then i noticed Clyde my mature albino (mr gentle) hanging around his cave?????

This went on for 2 days.......

I thought maybe clyde is just showing him who's boss...
Untill i woke up to find the little guy well away from his cave in a very bad way.....All down one side of his body was a mess, completely white and red..
He had bad skin damage, also his tale was virtually gone and his top fins ripped and torn....Ive never seen such a beating....... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

It can only be Mr gentle Clyde.........He has clearly took the role of mr dominant..

Which is a worry when iam hoping to add a new L182 male to the bunch....

As for the little guy i moved out as soon as i saw the damage and ive breen treating with melafix for 5 days now...

The good news is he seems to be getting better and as started to heal...I dont think he will ever be able to go back in there...

I just hope he gets his stunning colour and confident behaviour back because he is a guaranteed breeder.....

Thats my little story for you all................ Very Happy
