Hi All

Just to let you know i've managed to find a friend for my ranunculus, I lost my other 2 to whitespot last month and its great to be able to find two more so soon. My other tanks seem to be a lot more settled now and everything is growing fast, its great when everything is spot on, it makes me feel so goooood!. Very Happy

I'll have to try hard and practise my fish photography, I'm going to have to learn as i have 2 bristlenose that i want identifying, I bought them as L150 but after looking on Planetcatfish they dont look like they are, more like L156/9's.
Anyway do you think i could get good photos with a 4 million pixel Olympus compact?, flash or no flash?, maybe macro setting?. Smile

As long as the tank is lit a flash shouldn't bother them too much. Just stand further away to take the photo, take your time focussing and trim the photo later to magnify the fish into a bigger pic.

High Keng , brengun makes a good point , if u light the tank from above with desk lamp or similar
there shouldn't be huge call to use your flash. Lets see some nice big pics of the Ranunculus.
Cheers J

They seem like real buggers to photo. I have a couple I got from someone who kept them in his garage and probably only looked at them once a day to feed them so they are real skittish. As soon as they feel you coming, they're off!

Yeah my peppermint bns are like that and I have very few photos of them as a result.
On rare occasions when they do come out I am too gobsmacked staring at them that I forget about getting the camera. Laughing
