looks like a common female to me mate, and agression can be shown by any species, i have a young male who ive had in isolation for 2 months because he was so agressive towards everything untill my largest male gave him a good seeing to at that point i had to move him and help his wounds heal, i put him back in last night and guess what?? he goes straight back to my largest males cave and kicks off again... Evil or Very Mad he will not learn so i guess a few more days and he will get a pasting again.....

If she is fully grown mate then she may continue to behave this way all the time untill she dominates everything in there.....it could be a gene thing...as you say females arent normally so defensive and agressive....

I agree with Curby it could be genetic or possibly hormonal, it's unusual whatever the cause.
