Proven pair of bristlenoses for sale

I have a proven pair of common bristlenose for sale...
Wont be ready for about 2 weeks as they have just laid eggs (again!)
Both around 4.5 inches long (maybe a bit bigger) and very healthy.
Will come with his favourite cave!
I have posted this early in case anyone wanted to come and see him in action!

how much you wanting for them and are they brown or albino ?

They are browns... Sorry should have said that in the first post lol!
I dont know how much they normally go for...
I guess im looking at around the £40 mark...
Ther are 100% unrelated as they have come from different cities lol!
My lfs has been buying my babies at £1.50 each but says they cant take any more so sadly the pair has to go before I get overrun!!!
I want to concentrate on my longfins now!!!

A breeding pair goes for £35-£55 so a fair price if you ask me....

saying that my lfs is selling breeding pairs ... bit smaller for £25 pair ... but ive brought all 3 lol ... deffo interested in these ... do you have any pics please ?

not being iffy mate but i once bought a breeding pair from a LFS to find they was all from the same batch and just paired up.....
if you can trust they have breed before then you have a good deal....
but i like to pay a little extra knowing that they are already breeding and are un-related.....

but thats me being fussy lol....

Only really selling them cos im gonna end up over run with babies otherwise...
My lfs cant take any more and they are having around 80 at a time...
Plus, now my longfins are growing up I want to start trying to get them to breed... If they do, I really wont have the space for them all!!!
This is my boy but the pic is about 6 months old (so he is bigger than this with more bristles) and cant take one now cos he is in the cave lol!

And i'm with Curby...I would never buy a breeding pair from a shop. Mature fish sure, and then pair them up with other mature fish. I just plain and simple dont trust fish shops!

well deffo proven pairs as when i brought them they all had fry in the tanks with them ... and my lfs i trust alot as do alot of business for them ..... but depends how well you know your local fish shops i surpose ..... deffo nice fish .... im very interested just got to find a way within the next few weeks to get to birmingham as i dont drive lol

I know some lfs can be very untrustworthy...
I have one that I use most of the time (the one who has my babies) and they have always been great but there are others locally who I wouldnt trust an inch...
One tried to sell me a para pleco claiming it was a panaque clown pleco!!!

All I can say is that the male came from birmingham and the female came from Oxford so the chances of being related are zero!!!
Also, all the fry have done really well and I have had no sickness (or deaths) in them at all...
(I have heard can happen with related bn's breeding)
The eggs he is fanning at the moment were laid Monday night (28th) so its gonna be a while before they hatch out and leave the cave so there is no hurry...

yh ive got a few fish shops like that im my area aswel .... both got realy bad reps for dead stock and illness etc the one i got the bns from is the only one i trust in the area and the only one that buys fish from breeders and always has good stock .... just wondering out of curiosity but could you deliver them when there ready if i payed for petrol ? only person i could possibly get to bring me is father in-law n je got 7 seater taxi thats a fuel guzzler costs me £20 just to derby

Just wanted to add though, the babies dont come with the pair...
That said, they breed so regular you will be inundated with wigglers before you can turn round!
