hi has anyone ever used half ro and half tap water in there bristlenose set ups im thinking of giving it a go to lower the tds as our water is quite high in the tds stakes about 300 by doing this i guess i can get the tds to 100 or lower .thanks. and possibly ajust my ph slightly from 7.6 to maybe 7 or lower:any opinions on this topic would be gratefully appreciated.thanks D Very Happy

i use a 5 parts RO: 1 part HMA water. HMA is the waste water from the RO unit.

gives me pH of 6.7 and low but good TDS

doug thanks for that is the hma the waste water from any ro unit i have a 50 gallon ro unit with tapwater in, a waste pipe, and a good water out let where the ro comes out, is it always hma water that comes out of all ro units waste pipe or not? Question
