Hi guys im a new aussie to forum

Im probably like everyone else here, an avid bristlenose lover from sydney aust.

Currently I have a massive colony of like 20 peppermint bristlenoses breeding like crazy.. despite me being real busy and not being able to care for them as well as I would like to with my 6day week lol.
I also have a small colony of albino longfins which are breeding modestly also, and orangespot trio which i cant seem to get them breeding.

orangespots are always stubborn, i would suggest even more than peps. mine used to breed on the odd occasion but they were tricky little so and so's

@doug OS are stubborn? I didnt know that. My females being really fat and the male literally laying on his back catching some Zzz's in the cave might be more than enough proof of that there. lol

I had a massive bloodworm infestation colonizing the gravel in my pepp tank, from my days of raising angelfish in this same tank and feeding them live bloodworm ( yeah they were pretty spoilt xD) . Not sure how those worms thrive down there but it was at the point where they almost started to look like patches of brown java moss. Last sunday I got right in there and removed all the gravel as vacuuming didnt seem to help and I feel no gravel+good enough filtration is probably better for my breeding colony anyways. I had to remove all the 10 odd caves i had in there and disturbed my biggest male, surprisingly, on eggs for the first time ever, as he is like 17cm and should be in a rocking chair by now lol. Eggs were stuck to the bottom of the cave, first time seeing that. Sacrificed a few to save many, and scraped it out with a butter knife and put them in a egg tumbler of sorts .. in with a previous batch of 1.5week old fry (a floating guppy tank stuck near filter outlet). Ended up losing the eggs as I fed the fry wafer pieces which dissolved to dust in there and ended up smothering the eggs starving them of oxygen :S Luckily it wasnt many eggs lost, so was probably from one of my smaller females.

Well I could always find room for another pair or trio
