| i recentley got a young male Bn and was wondering if he is just copying my albino male who fanning eggs at moment (seeing Wriglers all morning) or is he getting ready to breed himself he is about six months old and my femail about 1 yearif so shall i remove daddy when he release fry and rest him for abiut 2 months as this is his third lot of eggs in three months | |

| Giving the old boy a rest won't hurt. Would be a bonus if the young boy spawns so let him try IMO. Even tho I don't know the age of my albino longfins they looked too young to spawn but still did. Iv never had males fan unless they are ready to spawn so he could be... | |

| If your young male is over 5cms in length then he probably mature enough to breed, his fanning sounds like he is ready.

| I reckon that if they are fanning it means they are ready to give it a try younger males can take a few tries to get it right but once they do they can be prolific little buggers!! | |
