I am new to the site, currently have a juvenile common albino bristlenose and 1 baby and also 3 brown babies. The babies I got from ebay and was informed that the parents - one was albino and one was brown.

I was interested in a varied diet for my BNs as they seem to favour cucumber over anything else but i want to offer them variety.

I have read the diet guide which was most useful....mine definately do not like apple.

Sweet potato and cucumber are the only winners so far - oh and the usual algae wafers.

At the moment I have JBL Pleco algae wafers - which others do you recommend that are of good nutritional value?

Hi,I like using Hikari Algae Wafers as they are a leading brand and very good nutritionaly and my Bn's love them.I also feed spirulina flake and garlic flake along with cucumber and few odd other bits and bobs.

Welcome! Always glad to meet someone as enthused about Bristlenose as we are Smile

I feed mine mainly zucchini and other fruits and vegetables with shrimp pellets once a week. Too much protein can cause health problems so I only feed protein once a week.
