Male Ancistrus-that's about all am sure of lol! , he is about 5 inches long, full of bristles, with little white- L181/L182? 3813960834 laugh if you want but-it looks like white speckles or sparkly whitish specks all over especially fins and tail - actually everywhere? I got him as a Common Ancistrus- but he is huge compared to my commons and am sure he's not a common. Quite timid, eats a lot! Very dark in coloration-he has grayish stress bands- when he stresses-doesn't bother any one in the tank-loves wafers and cucumber and scraping the wood in the tank-it sparkles too!!!!

My avatar are one of my pics for him and have a few others in my album. Do not have a public account to use an URL, sorry if this makes it more difficult- any help would be very much appreciated, thanks everyone!

Do you mean this one

L181's have white spots and L182's have orange, but I'm not convinced it's either. If you could get better pictures with one showing more ot the tail it may help.

There is topic HERE that explains how to post pictures from your gallery.

I agree, THANK-YOU- he has quite an interesting character as well! Embarassed Admittedly I am not the best photographer as everyone can see, but I will try to get some better pictures of him, so as someone could perhaps someone could shed some "light" on what he is, it would be interesting to know or have an idea at least, but thanks for the feedback!!!

Update, unknown male Bn- has 8 rays on his dorsal,is just starting to fork his bristles and his eyes are bluish/grey tinged- thanks to Moos pictures of her adult specimens- I am pretty confident that is his identity- also have been avidly searching other forums-didn't want to Embarassed but it seemed to me my Id request was failing due to my pics- had people ask me about the characteristics- and working with me-
(am in no way negatively speaking about Bnworld as I know as was mentioned my pictures were let's be honest rubbish!)
and asking their opinions all the other people have come up with the same conclusion.

Thanks everybody especially Mooo and her excellent photos-wish I could do the same with my cheap camera- but my budget goes mostly to the care of my Bn's-haven't had the $ to buy a decent camera yet- in time though!!!!

Thank you ,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you Mooo am forever grateful!!!

you may close this topic if you would like Curby or delete it-do not want to make anyone feel bad or make it seem as though am saying bad things about BNWorld-still my fav. place!!!!

Just had to work extra hard to find my answer is all and wanted to share my journey-hope no one feels upset- that is not my intention- but I do apologize if anyone feels offended.

Thanks all for your input made me learn a lot and am a better researcher thanks to it!
