They both have red eyes, my shortfin has a gold body like the L144 and the longfin has the pale whitish color. I think that the shortfin has some L144 genetics in it, as that is the identical color (gold)of the L144. This is very common in my area. I have seen someone cross a shortfin albino female with a longfin albino male, which resulted in a few L144 shortfins. I know this as a fact because he did not own any L144 males or females. I wish the longfin albino had a gold body, that would look stunning. Any thoughts?

there are different versions of the albino bristlenose. generally concidered to be three types. I'm running late but im sure Jim.and or Kfenk or someone will be able to throw a link up with some piccys to help you out.

Not sure about how the genetics works, if they are different morphs like the common and albino are different morphs or if they are just different by chance.

As Doug has said there are variations of the Albino ranging from white to golden.

Albinism is the result of a genetic dysfunction/mutation that prevents the production of melanin pigment. However, other types of pigment cells, such as carotenoids (reds, oranges) and xanthophores (yellow), are unaffected, so depending on the amount and type of these pigments there are variations.

I'm not an expert but it could be that albinos with high caretenoid pigments were used in the breeding of Super Reds
