How old are they Question

I have had common batches were some of the fry appeared lighter or seem to have different markings but they all developed into normal coloured commons, although I have never noticed a faster growth rate.

Any chance of photo's Question

Hi Mello, I know it's a bit of an old topic, but thought I'd reply anyway.

In pretty much every spawn I've had (probably about 10 or so now) from my common BNs, there always seem to be a few fry that are lighter than the others, I've never had any turn out a different colour (albino/different markings) by the time they've reached the 3cm mark. I can't completely rule out these guys being part of my mortality figures, which were quite high when starting out Very light bn babies 484291715 But have gotten much better Very light bn babies 1650918589 I think it may just be like some people have blonde hair growing up that turns light brown by the time they've hit thier teens? Just my opinion though, someone please correct me if I'm incorrect.

Yeah it's common, I've got a two and a half inch male BN that's both light and dark in colour, both on the tail and body.
I wouldn't fret.
