Hi I've got these algae disc which are small about a mm in diameter which I bought in clear take away containers from lfs. Also had the wafers which were brown in colour is there any difference between them both or are they the same thing. If there different which is better for my BN and Peppermints.

It is my experience that wafers are usually harder and do not dissolve in the water as quick. I find that Bristlenose prefer wafers as they can chew on it longer. Also often wafer such as the ones from Sera contain wood particles that the Bristlenose use in their digestion.

most of them are pretty much the same. Have a look at the break down of them and it will give you an indication as to what is on the inside

I would do that Doug but the green ones have been repacked into the chinese takeaway containers so there no ingredients or anything. The wafers are AquarWorld Algae Plus Sinking Wafers which has the following crude protein min 32%, crude fat min 3%,crude fiber max 6%,moisture max 10%, ash max 10%.
