Discus originate from of South America. Almost all discus found in the aquatic trade now are captive bred. Discus are naturaly carnivorous and enjoy blood worm, brine shrimp and purpose made discus food containing beef heart, they can also be fed dried foods made specifically for discus like flake and pellet food
