| Subject: What age and length are BN going to breed? Sat Aug 09, 2014 11:19 am | |
| Hello, Steve Framke in Richmond Hill, Ga. First post.
I'm new to BN's and was wondering what age they are ready to breed? I've purchased a group of young ones a little over an inch how long it takes the from here to grow them out to adulthood. Also how long are they able to breed once mature?
Many Thanks, Steve | |

| Hey Steve and welcome to bristlenose world With Bristlenose it is more about age than size. You are generally looking for them to be about 9 months to a year old. This is when they are normally around 9cms long but there are records of them breeding shorter than that, or bigger Normally they will have a good breeding life of a few years once they get going but it depends how hard you work them, particularly the males | |
