| I too think its a Starlight (L182). The presence of the bristlenose means it couldn't b a Peppermint by any chance, right?
How do u kno its female??? Its only about 8cm long. | |

How do u kno its female??? Its only about 8cm long. it is hard to sex at only 8cm but it is showing no sign's of bristle's up its snout atol, i have quite a large L182 Bristlenose starlight female and she looks just like that... | |

| Looking at the picture on planet catfish there isn't enough spots for it to be a rio ucayali, and defo dont look like 182 some more broweing is called for | |

I'll happily confirm that that Pleco is L213! Aka Starry Bristlenose. I have two of them, look exactly the same, shape, colour, mouth, bristles, everything! They grow about 10cm long, not a particularly bristley species, but males and females can easily be told apart when mature | |

| It's a pity "turbo" cant answer this but - The first pic of the fish looks like it has a brown base colour with offish white spots over that, not solid black with bright white spots. I'm going with Tadj's bet :Ancistrus "Rio Ucayali" or orange spot, I'll try to get my hands on the Aqualog cat-alogue today and have a closer look. Also ( a bit off topic) Ancistrus "Hoplogenys" is listed a L059 not L213. J | |
