| Nice looking fish! Never seen Oscars so small, how long do they take to grow? | |

| Must admit I do like Oscars, they are another fish with a lot of character and they soon get to recognise the hand that feeds them . | |

| yeah, they are quite small, they are about 2 months old at my best guess. they take about 12 months to get to around 15cms and are generally fully grown by 18 months/2 years.
It took me about 3 days to have them eating from my hands, and they know me compared to my girlfriend and my sister.
Love the oscars! | |

| Forgive my ignorance, but I am not familiar with chichlids. Are we talking about Astronotus ocellatus?
I became curious, and would like to look-up some info about these fishes. | |

| ahhh the puppy dogs of the aquarium. great in groups of more than 2 but best as a single individual. i say better than 2 as they have been known to turn on eachother where as with having 3 or more that can be evened out. ohhhh but yes they are soooo cute when small | |
