| Ho, have only recently started keeping bristlenose plecs and have been able to get my handson a mature pair of common brown bristlenose. Both are feeding, swimming and pooping normally, so no main worries there, but have just noticed on my female's belly about 5mm up from her anus, what look like 5 bloodred spines sticking out, are they perfectly normal or is it something that needs medical attention? | |

| This doesn't sound normal to me,as Doug said pics of the fish in question and of the spines would help a lot. | |

| Thanks for the replies, have had it confirmed as camellanus worms, started on a 10 day course of anti fluke and worming treatment, hopefully have caught it in time. | |
