Their BN a slice of Pear?

We got a bowl full that are just slightly too hard for human consumption but might just be hard enough to not just turn to mush in the tank..?

bristlenose do seem to have a bit of a sweet tooth. I know mine love rockmellon. Give it a shot, if it starts to foul the tank simly take it out. let us know

I tried this a few months ago, and they had a nibble but then left it ......

suppose some might like it, if you get the opportunity then give it a try.. it may be some species may like it while others dont....

Well, I will try again but this first run was not a winner.
For 15-20 mins the few guppy in there swarmed round it having a peck and nibble.
The male BN was in his hidy hole and didn't budge, and the female BN stayed under the bogwood.
After 90 mins I removed as it looked well soggy and starting to break up.

So far just cucumber is the favorite with alternate algae tabs and pleco tabs..
Broccoli stem was partly success
I tried carrot, (blanched and fresh) no good.
Grape no good.
Lettuce no good.
Strawberry no good..

I might give potato a go next..

de-shelled peas are a real winner!

Yep they love a deshelled pes.,, mine like a bean(not the pod, the pod will sit there for day or two, they eat it but takes ages, so I just feed the bean itself) green beans from the frozer that is,

*Forgot to ask, generally how long do people leave the 'veggies' in the tank before removing?
Iguess it depends on the veg in question but I leave cucumber in over night then take out, is that too early?

Ya, my fry loved peas too. I have also fed a slice of pear to the adults once. They loved it, but I never tried again cos the sight is not so pleasant, they turned brown pretty fast.

I have left cucumber in upto 4 day as far as I know,
though depends how fresh it was and how the tank was set up, also depends on how many pleco feed off it
ofcourse... lol

I guess it's personal choice, when I take out the next morning not much at all is left.
