i buy a cucumber a day for my plecos and goldfish , is it ok to give them a cucumber a day ??? Question

my goldfish and pleco just eat out the center ( the seeds and stuff ) and thats all so i leave it in a day and they eat the center out then i take it out at night

The BN's will eat all the cucumber, it's just the centre seems to the favourite or easier, try putting about a quarter in and leaving it in for 24 hours. If they eat it all before then you can always put another quarter in.

Don't feed the cucumber all the time, try and vary the diet. Have you seen this post HERE there are tips on different things to try feeding your BN's.

I started off with smaller bits and letting them eat virtually all of it and then putting some more in or using a different veg for variety...
Otherwise it would get very expensive if they only ate the middle bit Shocked
Mine like a bit of carrot occasionally, peas, melon, lettice and they dont mind a bit of pear!

Can leave cucumber in tank for couple of day? won't foul water? I always remove 24hr later even if they don't finish. I don't even give half a cucumber, its only just a small slice w/o the centre cos I realise the seeds floating around the tank if I do so.
