A sand and gravel mix

Hey everyone,

Finally getting around to setting up a new tank, and I wanted to ask you something. I bought a fine sand/gravel mix to put in the bottom – however I am starting to have doubts. I am starting to fear that my little friends are dumb enough to eat and choke on the mixture.

My question is (newbie I know), am I worrying about nothing here? Has anyone else ever used a mixture quite like that? I was going to leave my tank bare bottomed or end up with that mixture. Thank you for putting up with my question!
