A Happy Announcement

After 5 years we've decided it's time to get hitched

We've booked for the 14th October, and it's a Friday afternoon coz the Registry office at the Town Hall doesn't do weddings on a Saturday afternoon, and I really don't want a morning wedding LOL

So at the moment I am getting a little bog eyed looking at dresses etc <hehehehehehe>

I got married at the end of last month. Was supposed to be on the 1st dec but we had to cancel due to the snow. (we made news at 10 that day)

WOW, was that you? I did see the news about the bride that had to cancel due to the snow, but had no idea Glad you had your day eventually.

yes that was us. The reason we made the news was we were supposed to be getting wed on what would have been my mums birthday. My mum in law called the local radio station and then it just snowballed so to speak. We were featured on BBC news 24, News at six on BBC, Calender (itv local news), ITN news at 10 and also on radio 5 live.

Then to top it off we had the party on Jan 7th due to everywhere been booked for xmas partys in Dec and it snowed again but was starting to go before the do started

Sorry not been around much, but there's been a lot of things to do with the wedding, especially as I'm making my own dress and other bits and bobs for the wedding .... also, been gettin things ready for starting the camping again with the Sealed Knot. We've got our first battle of the year next weekend at Elvaston Castle in Derby. The public battles are on Sunday and Monday, but we start camping from Friday lunchtime. Have to admit that we're really looking forward to it and although it's only Wayne that gets kitted out and does the re-enacting I love the socialising behind the scenes

I'll try and get back a bit more often

Yes, you're probably right, and there are still a few sewing projects to do like altering the bridesmaid dresses, making cravats and waistcoats and a shrug for myself and my flowergirl, thank goodness for sewing classes They've got me through a lot .... my dress for instance is my own creation as the ones in the shops are just to froo-froo for me LOL So am going with a simple gothic/medieval style dress. Wayne wanted to wear a kilt but I had to put a stop to that

Sounds like you're getting along well with your set up. We have a few different types of endlers. Kinda left 'em in their respective tanks to get on with a population boom
