ok say my BN lay 20-50 eggs each time. how many batches can i keep in my 2 20gallon long tanks ?

this is my first batch so i want to ask this before its too late.

since i only have 1 pair right now i figured this would be good.

also once they get to about 1/2-3/4 of an inch i can put them in my 60 gallon to grow out.

With plenty of filtration and regular water changes you could keep 50 fry in each of the 20G tanks until thay reach just over 1 inch. The chances are that when the fry are released from the cave they may already be 1/2 inch long..!!
As to when you can put the on the 60G tank it will all depend on what else you have in there. BN fry make tasty snacks for lots of fish... Angels, Kribs large mollies other cats etc.... If nothing in the tank that is likely to snack on them then there is nothing to stop you putting them in at any time (ie sraight away).
I have found that they will grow quicker in a bigger tank.

cheers

Jon

my sump is why i dont want them in there right away. i dont need to kill my fry right off the bat.

also i have browns and a different blood line of albinos in the 60 gallon right now growing out. once they hit 2" they all come out and go into my discus tank. trying to get a different pair from them. there is about 10-16 of them in total.
