My female is Albino also so I not sure how that works cus according to that post Doug a albino crossed with a albino only results in albino. So would these be L144 Albino's?
thanks for your guys help.

I doubt it would be an L144 albino... would be a losing proposition as L144 are worth so much more than common albinos. L144 are prized for their blue/black eyes. But you never know with albinos what L# the parents were. 99.9 chance they are common in my opinion.

There are at least two genes at play when it come to colour in bristlenose. I actually suspect its more like 3-4 but that is where the issues like this come from. Where it would be interesting to see is what sort of fry he makes Very Happy

I dont think mixing super reds with any longfin would lead to longfin super reds in the first lot of batches. i think it would take a fair bit of line breeding the young to finally achieve what your looking for. thats probably why they arent as readily available as shortfin super reds. only time iv ever seen pics of a longfin super red was when another member here on bn world posted pics of some. Im guessing somewhere like germany have perfected them but they havnt reached the UK or US yet...

i agree that there is not any here in the us. i have a friend that has had the short fin reds for many yrs and has been breeding to get a long fin red for 5 or 6 yrs now. im first on his list to get some as soon as he gets long fin reds.
