My Bn's didn't have much luck the last time they spawned... the Eggs escaped from there cave and were placed in a fry catcher where unfortunately they went mouldy and died...
After this i decided to upgrade the filter and oxygen stones and add many more pots and caves for the plecos to choose from instead of the smooth textured pot which i placed inside before (which was a temporary cave until i could get something else but it looked like they couldn't wait that long!)

It's been just over a month since then and the other day i noticed my male BN had become very territorial over a terracotta cave... then next day i couldn't find him until he jumps out and scares away one of my young Malawi’s... unfortunately he jumped out the old plastic pot to look after his young again. But this time around there appears to be 3-4X as many eggs as there were last time! It’s a huge cluster!

They seem to be holding up pretty well in there none of the eggs have escaped yet and they are all joined Together and by the looks of it the cluster won't fit through the door, i think as long as the male keeps fanning the eggs they should make it this time Smile

Although i do have some other fish in there which i am unsure about would it be worth moving them into another tank or will they be fine?

Here are some images i have taken! i will hopefully have more to follow!

few platties
red tailed black sharks
young malawis
2 large gourami
goby's
Clown loachs
Green suckin loachs
pakistani loach
Ableno BN's

There are plenty of places for them to hide and lots of room to swim around but would it be worth buying a small tank just for them?

The malawi will be moved as soon as they are big enough to live with the much larger malawi which should be within a week.
