My Brittlenoses Empty
PostSubject: My Brittlenoses   My Brittlenoses EmptyTue May 14, 2013 11:22 am

I currently have a pair of bristlenoses the male is my profile pic ,The female is the same colour but has pink eyes and they have bread well for there previous owner and they are kept in a 120 x 30 x 45cm tank which is planted and has a large piece of bogwood in the centre which has a gap underneath of about 40mm at one end also the tank is planted also has other wood and several broken flowerpots forming differing caves , this was not intentional but seems to be the preferred place for the male to hang out . Ive only had these a few days but since he found it he has rarely come out .
Tank-mates are a few cardinals and some bronze corys and a few red shrimp , I really didnt realise how addictive these fish could be , i find myself scouring the forum for advice and any information i can find !
My thanks go to the guys who run this forum and to all those that have posted here it really is a one stop place for answers well done one and all

Andy

Hi,yes they are very addictive, once you start you can't stop lol! I don't know if you know but you can buy clay caves for them.Males do like to hang out in a cave apart from when they are eating.Glad you are finding the forum helpful.

It is addicting I have 11 up and runing now with 11 empty. I have been able to curve how much I breed my fish. Right now I have 50 is BN fry that are 6 weeks old. I plan take lots of them to the FLorida Aquarium Fish expo at the end of June for auction. I try to focus on one brood at a time, lol.
