Feeding babies at night? Empty
PostSubject: Feeding babies at night?   Feeding babies at night? EmptySat Aug 17, 2013 1:01 am

Pretty excited here as just seen two bn babies on a log! Dad is still in the cave, Mam eating everything in sight. We usually feed the bn during the day, should we switch this to night to encourage the babies to feed? Normally do during the day, and have done now but put some cucumber next to the log where we saw them.

They are in a tank with guppies and tetras, and cherry barbs, so nothing should really be able to eat them as they are about a cm long.

Thanks, Suks.

The cherry barbs would be the ones i would be watching. nippy little fellas they are.

I would suggest putting the cucumber in at lights off like you mention and take it out in the morning.

Thanks!

They seem to be gaining confidence now too, but have seen a few get chased by glowlight tetras! Only when they are on the gravel though, never on the glass/plants/logs.

Some have fed today on the zucchini, will place some in tonight too. Was lovely to see them all on the glass last night when the lights were out!
