Hi from Cambs

Hi all from the sunny tho often windy fens.
I have been an avid fish keeper for more years than I care to remember, since giving up fishing a couple of years ago and at a loose end I decided to go a bit more seriously in to keeping and breeding fish. So I altered part of the shed in to a fish house. 18 months and 3 roof replacements later it is finished, although still the odd teething problems.
Anyway, I had some Longfin commons in the main tank which I separated in to 2 trios and moved them down the shed,(sods law, the 1 male left in the main tank is now fanning away happily).
I have acquired some albinos, reds and L144 all juveniles which are settled and feeding well(thanks for the advice), And today managed to get 2 young L333 which promptly disappeared.
My idea, hopefully. is fancy guppies in the upper layers, bristlenose for the bottom and cherry shrimp for anything that gets missed.

Sounds like you have a nice little collection going there!

I get jealous of people talking about their fish rooms. I have moved in with a mate to save up for a house and all of my gear is sitting in a shed

guppies in the top, Bristlenose in the bottom is a common setup, there is sum suggestion that the breeding of the guppies helps trigger the Bristlenose but I don't put a lot of weight on that.

just keep an eye on those levels as both guppies and Bristlenose can breed up fast!
