Hi all I had a large male longfin green dragon pleco around 6 inches breed in a 7 inch long by 1.5 inch wide cave everything was going well the first day then he got stuck in the cave and when he finaly got free he left the eggs and died the next day I guess he hurt himself has anyone had anything like this happen before?

Ok so its not unheard of for this to happen have you tried using larger caves to help keep that from happening?

nah, I considered this to be a case of natural selection. I find the larger caves can result in more eggs being booted so I stick to the smaller caves. Though I did end up burying him in the cave cos I couldn't get him out No
