Or the Blue Eyed Cichlid, High guys , I just thought I might give you all a look at these kool as fish . They are a south american cichlid and a very close cousin to the Convict Cichlid, too easy to care for and once they start breeding - damn near impossible to stop(unless the male punches snot out of the missus- which did happen to me- but with a little ingenuity and a tank divider she back to good and spawned again.
The biggest fish up front is the male

If you look close you can just see the yellow fuzz under the female in the tube -dems da babies just hatching- it was so kool to watch the eggs hatch from the roof and the tiny as hell fry slowly sink to the to the bottom

This is the female about a week later and the fry are starting to swim about

If you look close to left of the pic you can see lots of little shadows caused from the little fish+ they are just about every where else

Cheers Curby , those were actually taken at the start of of last year with the old camera, same as these pix - these were taken April last year.

These pix were taken more recently with the new camera.
This is the pic I've entered in POTM. He's the male(I think)

And the female( I think)
Archocentrus Spilurus PB040073
A few more angles on the male to try and show off his colour( quick little buggers don't give you much of a chance to a screamer shot , I'll get 1 eventually

Both of the fish are from my original pair but from a much later spawn( out at a mates house ) .The female ended up dying just after the last spawn.
cheers J

EDIT: it's actually the second to last pic in the foto comp
