Kent Calling

I just thought I would pop in and say hello as a newbie here. I am new to bristlenoses, though not new to plecs. A friend has just given me a few babies which is something new for me as I've never grown on babies before. I would like to have a go at breeding myself but I'll have to get some different blood in to do that, so if there is anyone in Kent who would be willing to do swaps at some point when I've matured these guys a little more I would be interesting to hearing from you.

It's clear this site is going to be a godsend for information, you lot seem to know an aweful lot!!

Thank you. I've had tropicals for a couple of years now and have a very eclectic bunch of fish, some of who shouldn't get on but I bought in my early days and trusted what my lfs said. Fortunately my community works well and even though I have at least one fish in there that is definitely not a community fish he's turned out to be the most friendly community fish I have!!

I also made the mistake of buying a common plec who was absolutely gorgeous but totally outgrew my tank, so he now lives in a lovely 8 ft tank now. That's why I'm new to bristlenoses as he was a swap for some albino and spotted babies, (different parents).

I'm fining the genetics interesting as the albino babies are both from brown parents. Some of you have some beautiful fish and I had realised there were just so many varieties!! I have a feeling I'm going to get the breeding bug, good job I have a spare 124l tank - I'd better get cycling!!
