I just found and joned this forum tonight. ;-)
I have been keeping the Common B-nose for about 4 years. My group, has bred, the babies grew up.. they bred..and have grown up and now they are brreding two. My main tank has 3 males from 3 generations.
In this last year I have decided to try my hand at some other Ancistrus types. I picked up a pair of longfin Albinos, and an L144 (he doesn't have a mate yet.
I also started a new colony of Plecos, a local distributor had gotten them from Germany as A. dolichopterus. I was pretty sure they were not those, but also sure they were something a bit different, I picked up 7 of them. These have grown out, and bred as well. Now that I will soon have babies to get rid of I came accross this forum as I was trying to ID them. I will post some pics in teh ID section.
