They should be fine either way. Bit honestly I think they would look great in the discus tank Smile

Then you could take some pics for us Wink

here is the nugget pair. the one i got 2 pics of close to the glass. the other is on the wood.

very pretty. i think i have a male and female. since one has a really empty belly, and the other has a fat belly. but both pleco are hungry. they place i got them from did not feed them anything but the algae that grows in the tank.. so they are starving i think. hope they eat the green beans and algae wafers i put in tonight. if not they can settle in over a few days and eat them later. since i do this every night before i turn off the lights. so my angel fish dont eat the wafers

anyways good luck with them but i wouldnt hold my breath on them breeding if i was you. I did read a while back that they havnt been bred in captivity, but then again anything is possible Wink

i look at it like this. im breeding the bristle nose. if the gold nuggets spawn. cool. if not. the bristle nose is my main focus.

i think the golds are really nice looking and mine are pretty big. about 5" or so.

Baryancistrus ususally prefer a meatier diet than BN's although vegetable matter should be included in the diet, so it's probably better to keep them with Discus.

Great looking fish Good Job

im thinkin so also. i woke up this morning and found them taking over my bristle nose hiding spot. my bristle nose are out in the open now. which is nice for me since i can see them now. but i dont think the fish like that too much. so im going ot move them later today. when i do the water changes.

Keep an eye on your GN's ...

First to make sure they are eating.

They are wildcaught fish and can adapt but it's gonna take some work on your part.
Keep in mind they are starved prior to shipment, so if the lfs where you bought them
didn't feed them, then they have been starved for quite some time.

I have one, I've had for 3 months now and while he does eat the driftwood he does not
eat algae. Jim is "spot on" they need meat. I feed mine Krill, spectrum wafers and he
does like zucchini.

The juvenile pattern they now exibit is what makes them so desirable. As they mature
the spots get smaller and I believe the seams also disapear. Be aware that they can
be extremely agressive to the point of killing oneanother when sexually mature so
if you have 2 males eventually it could get really ugly.

mine are only about 3 inches maybe 3 and a half. but i hope they are male and female since one is fat. as in she is carrying eggs. but i could be wrong. they are so pretty. i did move them to my discus tank. they have a big thing of wood in there with them. bi will be adding some algae waffers tonight and some green beans. hope they eat it. p[lus ifeed the discsu blood worms anyways. so if they get some of that. they will be happy in this 40 gal breeder tank. but i might move one to my 150 gal tank when i get it.
