its best to pick fresh oak leaves and leave them to dye off on their own. That way theirs less chance ov the leaves getting any kind ov disease on them. my LFS sells oak wood for the aquarium for this reason to soften water

Oak is one of the best logs we burn in our wood burner - but I only ever use seasoned wind falls or woodland management felled ones. I'm not about to start running round with a chainsaw. Honest.

ok ive put the water in turnd on the heaters fillters and air pump and added the lights

pic 1 with the aqua glow light this will be on all day

Hell yeah, you've done a bang up job on that background deano- it does look really natural,

cheers mate ill keep the pics comming dont worry need to get a new camara sorted though. the other one needs fixing and been told £65 to fix so think ill just buy another.

the tank is going to look amazing full of tropheus , i wish i never parted with my group of 25 illangi after seeing that tank .

ilangi are very nice i like them better than red rainbows. im stocking the tank with ikola. should look good against the background with the bright yellow.
