| woke up yesterday and finely got out of bed as i have been down with the flu, so the wife and kids took over the feed on my tanks ( NEVER AGAIN ) in three days they knackered my filter so much it was reverdeing the waste back into the tank a little at a time which caused a nitrite strike it wiped the whole tank out all this due to over feeding and no water changes done by the wife altoghter i lost 3x lo18 gold nuggs 5x l315 blue spots 1x l008 pekoltia 4x brown bristlenose ( NOT MY BREEDERS THANK GOD ) x1 large black common x1large alino common and a shed load of other fish, gouramis,angels, neons,rasboras,tetra,loaches, i am absolutley gutted | |

| Oh dear, thats not good mate..samething happened to me years back, asked dad to feed the tank while i was away, only gone for 4 days when i returned home my tank was carnage!!! ended up with 3 dead Corydoras a few cardinal tetras, i was totally mortified. Now if i go away i let no-one touch my tanks, i simply let them fast for a few days or use tetramin gel based holiday food. | |

i agree i would let mine starve for a day before i let anyone feed them..they also get used to the amount you give them...i hope you get it sorted soon mate.. | |

| no mate i had to go out i put a maximum bid of £90 and when i returned they sold for £91.50 gutting which is quite high considering they are not granteed breeders | |
