| I was looking at that Cat-eLog and it looks similar but I notice some difference.
One thing....my fish has rows of spots on the rays of the dorsal and not between them. The PlanetCatfish catelog for L071 shows a fish with spots both on the rays of the dorsal and between the rays also.
I have a post up on PC too and only one person replied so far. I said over there that I bought this fish as a 213...but after doing some searching I think I was wrong. I found a post by another person who ordered some 184s from the same seller I got mine from. I think I ordered some 213s and 184s at the same time.
So I think I ordered this fish as a 184....but I dont think it is a 184. Does anyone else?
The closest thing I think I have found is L370. Wutcha think?
crap PCs website seems to be having difficulty. No images will show in the catelog for me right now.

| i had the 213 and the pic you have posted is not 213 the 213 as a greyish blue sheen on the fins and bristles when adult i also think l370 i posted some pics on here of the rare l370 and they look very much the same to me. the pics are in the profile section. i also thought l100 at first but theirs no spots between the rays but as the same greenish sheen to the bristles. | |

| I'd be so bold to say L071, as you have mentioned the spots on the fin rays and not on the membrane, this can be mis-leading as juvenile fish will have the occasional spot on the membrane but this seems to clear up as the fish matures. J | |

| I have had the fish for well over a year I think.
I have 2 males and one female. To my knowledge they have never spawned.
The male pictured here is the smaller of the two...I would guess him around 4 inches TL. The female is about 4 inches also and the other male may be closer to 5 inches
If any of that info is helpful.
Are we all thinking L370 then? Are those fairly rare? Man I hope not because I haven't really treated these plecos well haha they are always last to get a water change. I sure hope I haven't been mistreating a rare expensive Ancistrus. I can certainly testify that they are not overly sensitive to water quality.
I am going to attempt to get more and better pics over the next couple of days. They are pretty shy. I may have to catch them and take pics in a specimen container.

| I was looking through some old pics and found these. They are of the fish when they first arrived at my house almost immediately after the Fedex man dropped them off. It is the same fish next to a 213. I still dont think the color is showing true in the photos. In person the spots are a copper color. | |

| In the last pic they look like L255 Spotted medusa from the above view....
The male with not so bright spots defo looks like an Ancistrus Ranuncalus(L034) and the others like i said from above look like L255....
Its a long shot as the first few pics dont look like the medusa pleco but the shape of the body and the bristle pattern is a giveaway...
Anybody else have a view???

Anybody else have a view??? i lost track of this thread sorry. im going to dissagree with you their curby the heads dont look anywere near wide enough to me for a 4" ranunculas. they appear short and dumpy as their heads are nealy as wide as the body length lol the one with the fine spots im going for a L213 as its the only one i can think of that as that many fine white spots and the other two im going to say either L184 or a L289 to be fair we need better pics to id these.

| I agree, they are not L255. Their heads would be twice as wide and their fins a little different.
I would identify them as L184 and L213 probably wild caught. The shape of their fins looks like the L184.

| Looking at it from the side the tail is wrong for the L184.
Could it be the L327? This is the closest I could find on planetcatfish.
