Wife's 29 gallon Empty
PostSubject: Wife's 29 gallon   Wife's 29 gallon EmptyMon Apr 05, 2010 2:50 pm

Picked up a 29 gallon from an old high school friend Saturday and promptly gave it to my wife.

Came with everything and a bunch of extras....for free. Yay for free!! lol!

Got it home and she promplty drained all the water, put the fish in buckets, and removed all the decorations and substrate. I took all of the decorations (driftwood and some very nice rocks) and set them outside to dry for use another day. She "cleaned" the tank but did not wash it, put all of her decorations in there (so colorful it looks like a clown puked) and got the fish reacclimated. It came with 8 fish in it already 3 grown Praecox Rainbows, 3 Black Neon Tetras, and 2 Otocinclus. Dosed them with a round of Antibiotics..after about 28 hours we put the carbon back in and the fish have taken really well to their new decor.

I'll post some pix soon. I'm not much into the "whimsical" decorations, but I think shes done a bang up job on this one.
