Bristlenose Behaviour

Hi, I used to have 2 juvi female BN plecs, they used to be very active and went all over various areas of the tank, I eventually rehomed them for reasons of short term insanity. I have now got a Male BN , he is a yellow/gold albino, between 3 - 4 inches, he spends most of his time in his log, only seen when lights out and doesnt really go far from his turf.
Is this normal behaviour,is it because he is a male?
Albino?
Just n individual thing?
Any correspondence greatly appreciated.......

yeah I was wondering if the males staked out a small turf and hung out in there hoping a girlfriend would turn up, just out of curiosity, do female BNs tend to move about the tank more then ?

yeah female,s are allot more active than males.

They have it sorted. The males mostly stay in their house, probably watching football on tv while the females get out keeping the tank clean. We could learn a lot from the fish.
