| Hrmmm, the spots look a bit dull for a starlight. They look more like orange spots to me.
Its kind of hard to tell if they are males or females. I would say that the top two are females as the first one has no bristles and the bodyshape of the second photo is that of a female. but these are not absolutes. The tail doesnt really show too much and the underbelly shop is hard to interpret as its ordontodes are out distorting the body shape. | |

| Sorry, bit hard to tell in the first pic, now that i look i guess i can see the bristles. my bad that not such a big issue. My very first breeder never ate any vegies or algae waffers, never touched the stuff, thats one of the reasons i think he got so big. It was because i got him when he was mature and he had never seen algae waffers before, and def not vegies. his previous owner was a bit slack and the tank was so covered in algae that he had a constant supply of that. So if these guys have never been shown that vegies are good food then they wont eat them, same for algae waffers. Apparently the trick is to smear the vegies with crushed garlic as apparently BN love the taste of it and they will learn that the vegies are food. I tired it but my big fella never took to it. so he just ate flake food and frozen community blocks til his dying days ( Spazim) | |

| my l100 wild caught trio wouldnt heat any veg at first it took them around 7 months before they started eating it. i would keep offering it to them and you might get them to eat it. or you could put another bristlenose in with them that does eat veg and they will soon catch on its food. | |
