| A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks, in the sweetest little lisp, between two missing teeth, "Excuthe me, mithter, do you keep widdle wabbits?"
As the shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets down on his knees so that he's on her level and asks, "Do you want a widdle white wabbit, or a thoft and fuwwy, bwack wabbit, or maybe one like that cute widdle bwown wabbit over there?"
She, in turn, blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says, in a tiny quiet voice,
"I don't think my python weally givthe a thit." | |

| Pythons have to eat too. I still have the scar on my wrist from a very cute widdle wabbit who was grinding his teeth into my flesh. I had to literally pry his mouth open with my other hand to get him off. He was an outstanding show quality black otter Netherland Dwarf buck, and just oozed cuteness, unfortunately he had the personality of Jack the Ripper!

| I'm not saying pythons don't have to eat but it's not a laughing matter to terrify a rabbit. Sorry you got bitten but that was your choice to be handling Jack. | |

| Very true, it was my choice, to handle him, the point was not all rabbits would make good pets, I wound not have inflicted that rabbit on anyone. As to pythons eating rabbits, all the snake people I know who fed rabbits humanely put the rabbits down before feeding to their snake, as a rabbit is quite capable of injuring a snake, so they rabbit isn't terrified.

| That's good to hear Amber. I knew someone who was not as nice as that and actually enjoyed the 'spectacle'. | |

| I suppose that sort of unfeeling callousness exists everywhere. For your peace of mind, my sister and her husband raised snakes and other reptiles for years and I knew a lot of snake/reptile people through them and not a one treated any animal with less then kindness and concern. Cruelty to any animal saddens me as much as it does you. | |
