| Hi Guys, im lookng for a breeder as i cant find any L182's in and fish stores. I have 5 other L182 fry and want some more to breed with these as I have been advised not to interbreed these species.
I live in Leigh(greater manchester) but I am prepared to travel a reasonable distance to obtain these fish.
Hope somebady can help.

| Hi Danny, iam just around the corner from you in westhoughton i do keep L182's but i have no young...i just gave my dad a female about 6 inches in size...so you just missed out...there is a guy on here who sell's L182's all the time, he puts them on ebay mostly and he only lives in Scankchester i mean manchester... .... I will give him a shout for you but he's pretty reasonable on prices and may do you a discount if you tell him your off here... If you need any common BN's albino's or browns ive got loads...... | |

| posting fish is fine and if its done right they will survive the trip just fine.
I have recieved many posted fish and only once had a dead on arrival, which i think was cos it was too young to be posted. | |

| Yeh way to far........ I have never sent fish via post or recieved them either.... Ive never been a big fan of this but if you get a trusted seller who really cares about the fish then they should arrive just fine... As you no with ebay its trail and error and you can never be 100% anything will turn up right..... Thats my choice.... | |

| Hi Danny, what size are the fry you have at the moment? I breed L182s and L181s, my L182s have not produced for a while but I have a few juveniles left from the last spawning a few months ago, they are about 2" to 3 ", how many are you after? I am in Runcorn, WA7 which is about 20 miles from you. | |

| Hi Danny
I sell on ebay and AC and regularly post fish without much trouble. To be honest, if you saw how fish arrived from overseas to the wholesaler you would definitely be shocked. Most fish keepers who care about their fish will send them in far better conditions for a shorter travelling time than overseas importers. Take for instance Discus. I have seen them arrive in a box stacked like CD's in bags not much bigger than the fish itself! Hence I always, where possible, try to purchase home bred fish as they are generally far hardier.
Hope that helps Angi | |
