| Sexing them is normally possible at about 9-10 months old, about 6-7cms. They are normally sold at about 3 months of age and 3-4cms. The trick with sexing them is that some females get bristles too, but in different places. Males get bristles running up their snout to their eyes as well as around their top lip. The females only get them half the time and only ever around the top lip, and only the males get forked bristles. stick up a piccy if you want. we should be able to ID the spotted Bristlenose, I'm curious as to what they would call a spotted bristlenose, logic would dictate a pepermint or starlight but who knows | |
