Well, after reading the topic on what is a fish room, I thought why not show off our fish rooms and show people how they work. I know every fish room i have been in is different and all have their advantages. so why not throw them all into one topic and lets all compare notes...not to mention give the other members something to drool over
this is not a comp, as well lets face it the winner is Bren
So here is mine
Mine is a simple setup that was made on a budget. It is used for breeding Bristlenose mainly tho there is a pair of breeding angels and some cherry shrimp in there too.
Tanks:
4x1.5x1ft grow out tank. The Bristlenose fry get moved in here when they are about 1.5-2cms and moved out when they are about 3.5-4cms to local fish shops or private buyers. I do have some in there that i am keeping for a bit to sell as breeders.
3x1.5x1ft angel tank. also has a breeding pair of orangespots and some young fish, nearly at breeding size
2.5x1x1ft tank. common longfin female x common male conditioning
breeding tub 1: longfin albino male x common shortfin female (x2) and fry
Breeding tub 2: Common male x albino female (x2) and fry
breeding tub 3: Calico male and common female and fry
sorry its messy but i have been bussy with my PhD and havent had time for more than water changes
