| We've had a massive storm down here in my part of Cornwall today - so much for the veg. Poly tunnel - flattened and completely destroyed by gale force winds. Tomato plants smashed to pieces, ditto courgettes, sweetcorn, peas, sunflowers, everything. Strawberries have been hammered to a pulp. The garden looks like a hurricane has hit it. Thankfully animals are all fine but its heartbreaking to loose all that veg after the work and love that's gone into it. Absolutely gutted. Especially as I started clearing up - we would have had such a massive crop of toms and courgettes this year - but now they'll not get a chance. Just had to walk away this evening as there are small green toms every where.  | |
