| Hello everyone from sunny Halifax in the UK! Stumbled over this site while looking for some info on bristlnose eggs and fry. I have 3 Bristlenose plecs in my 250ltr Discus tank (comprising of 2 males - 1 longfin and 1 sf and 1 female sf all common browns). The 2 short fins are related but the longfin is unrelated and has just spawned with the female! Finding it really amazing to watch them and they are fast becoming my favourite fish! Great site by the way, a real gold mine of information! Cheers James | |

| Hey James and welcome to the site Good work on the spawn, always exciting when you get eggs. I get eggs about every week or so out of my breeding tanks and it still makes may day. Get some piccys up into the comps, everyone love discus tanks see you out on the forums Doug | |

| Hi Adam, Will let you know how the fry come on, although there isn't that many of them. It the 2nd time in the last 5 weeks they have spawned but the first time the longfin was all over the place and manged to kick the eggs everywhere. This time he has done better and managed not to kick them all! Only counted 5 fry so far though, 3 Albino and 2 normal so he hasn't done that well lol. Don't know if any will be longfin or not! | |

| Don't worry, they'll get better with practice, I've got a trio [who I got off another west yorkshireman] and I end up with at least 50 a pop. | |
